Day use studio grants​

​Since 2025, The Abbey Foundation has been offering six month residencies to artists for day use of the 850 square foot studio space. There is also another 850 square foot screened in area attached to the indoor studio which is available for large scale works.

 

The studio may be a shared space with one other artist during some periods.

 

There will be a stipend for purchase of materials and additional equipment up to $5000.00 for the artist to complete their proposed project while in residency.

 

The grant is open to all artists across many mediums, but would be most appropriate for those living in local counties, as there is currently no support for housing, transportation, meals, or travel.  If the applicant is able to relocate for 6-12 months, the grant would be accessible.

As the program develops, there may be community workshops which will require the participation of the grant recipient.

Currently, we have initiated artist led 1-2 day workshops twice per year for the benefit of the participants and other local non-profits.
